    Profile

    We are seeking a Software Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in similar roles/functions. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, hybrid environment, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software solutions, with exposure to both backend and frontend technologies.



    Responsibility

    • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and associated services.
    • Work with relational databases (H2, PostgreSQL) for data storage, queries, and performance optimization.
    • Build and manage projects using Maven and Gradle.
    • Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
    • Support cross-functional teams with C# and C/C++ code where required.

    Our engineering activities are concerned by Export Control, and Capgemini is fully committed to ensuring compliance with national and international regulations. In this way Capgemini continues to strengthen its Export Control team to ensure our compliance. The position covers Portugal and other designated countries within ER&D global operations. It involves close collaboration with Engagement Managers, Legal, Quality and Risk Managers, Delivery Teams and external authorities. You will be dedicated to the Export Control management of engineering activities, functionally reporting to the Capgemini Engineering Export Control Manager.


    As Export Control Manager your main responsibilities will be:

    • The deployment of the export control policy and procedures:

    Application and deployment of:

    The Group Export Control and International Sanctions Policy;

    ER&D Export Control Internal Compliance Program (ER&D EC-ICP);

    Technology Control Plan;

    Group Bid to Delivery Export Control process;

    ER&D Export Control Delivery process.

    • Be the Export Control Manager and point of contact for the assigned country areas.
    • Manage the global export license request, implementation and application to support project needs:

    Master Portuguese export control regulation and licensing process;

    Identify license requirements, manage requests and ensure application of conditions within

    the project scope;

    Manage the reporting to appropriate authorities;

    Ensure the compliance with ML, Dual Use, ITAR and EAR regulation.

    • Support operational functions in applying export control procedures within their activities and especially the Engagement Managers in their project needs and compliance monitoring:

    Manage the export control procedures;

    Support to conduct Project's export control assessments;

    Provide guidance and actively monitor projects to ensure full compliance with export control

    regulations throughout their lifecycle;

    Ensure deployment of export control requirements.

    • Participate and organize export control awareness sessions:

    Organize Export Control training (general, targeted, thematic).

    • Raising alerts to the Capgemini Engineering Export Control Manager in case of non-compliance and identified needs.


    YOUR PROFILE

    • Bachelor's degree in Law, International Trade, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
    • Minimum of 5 years in Export Control, with proven expertise in both Portuguese and international regulatory environments.
    • Fluency in English (mandatory) and Portuguese (required); proficiency in additional languages is considered an advantage.

    Lead management

    • Preparing contracts, coordinating invoicing process

    • Converting leads into accounts in CRM, adding deals connected with this account

    Account management

    • Communication with acting customers in order to learn their current needs and offer a new deal
    • Reminding to acting customers that it's time to update their contract
    • Discussing new potential deals with the customers and preparing new contracts
