    About the Role

    We are looking for an experienced, innovative, and resourceful Civil Engineer to join our Lisbon office. This role is critical to ensure the successful design and delivery of infrastructure and civil works for large-scale Data Centers.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Carry out technical studies, feasibility assessments, and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), alongside writing detailed reports and producing plans and designs.
    • Develop detailed designs and prepare associated drawings from concept to construction, ensuring compliance with regulations, best practices, and industry standards.
    • Design of stormwater, sewage and other wet utility systems.
    • Coordination of utility systems.
    • Oversee site investigations (geotechnical and topographic) and analyze the data collected.
    • Liaise with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, contractors, consultants, statutory authorities, and clients.


    Required Skills and Experience

    • Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
    • Minimum experience per level:
    • Intermediate Level: Relevant degree and at least 5 years of professional experience in a Civil Engineering role.
    • Senior Level: Relevant degree and at least 8 years post-graduate experience in a Civil Engineering role, with 2+ years leading the design of Data Centers or other mission-critical infrastructure.
    • Experience writing reports.
    • Experience in industrial facilities and/or design of mission-critical facilities.
    • Experience integrating infrastructure within building and development plot projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and other specialists
    • Design Software proficiency as Autocad and Civil 3D, the use of hydraulic modelling software such Info Drainage.
    • Knowledge in the design of Potable Water Supply, foul and surface water drainage systems.
    • Experience using ground modelling software for horizontal/vertical alignment, earthworks, cut and fill analysis.
    • Knowledge of relevant national guidance in Portugal; familiarity with Nordic countries' standards is a plus.
    • Proficiency in English (mandatory); other languages are an advantage.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

    About the Role

    We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Electrical Engineer to join our Lisbon office. This role is key in designing and developing high-quality, reliable, and efficient electrical systems for Data Centers.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and develop electrical systems for Data Centers, including power distribution, grounding, lighting, and standby power.
    • Create and manage single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and panel schedules using EPLAN and Revit.
    • Perform power system analysis (short circuit, load flow, arc flash, protection coordination) using ETAP.
    • Develop and validate lighting and emergency lighting designs using DIALux.
    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, architectural) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
    • Participate in peer design reviews, ensuring compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA 70E).
    • Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
    • Support commissioning teams and respond to RFIs during construction phases.
    • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and global data center design standards.
    • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in mission-critical power systems.
    • Collaborate closely with design partners from other engineering disciplines.


    Required Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
    • Minimum experience per level:

    Junior: 3+ years.

    Intermediate: 5+ years.

    Senior: 8+ years (including at least 2 years leading data center or mission-critical infrastructure design).

    • Preferably proficient in or familiar with:

    ETAP (power systems modeling and analysis).

    EPLAN (electrical schematics and control panel design).

    Revit (BIM modeling and coordination).

    DIALux (lighting simulation and design).

    • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E).
    • Familiarity with Tier classifications (Uptime Institute) and redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N).
    • Experience in mission-critical environments (data centers, telecom, hospitals, etc.).
    • Exposure to HV/MV substations, switchgear layouts, and BMS integration.
    • Knowledge of digital twin concepts or energy monitoring systems is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in English (mandatory); other languages are an advantage.
