We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Front Desk Agent to join our vibrant hostel team in Lisbon.   About Us:

  As a part of the dynamic Spanish hostel chain, The Central House, we believe in providing more than just a place to stay. Nestled in the heart of Lisbon, our hostel is a hub of exploration and connection. Our chain of hostels extends across Istambul, Portugal, Spain and Morocco, and now, we're on the lookout for a dedicated Front Desk Agent to help us continue offering outstanding service to our diverse guests.

  
  

  Your Role:

  As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first smile that welcomes our guests and the foundation of our hostel's operations. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Warmly greeting guests and facilitating seamless check-ins and check-outs.
  • Sharing insights about local attractions, events, and must-visit spots.
  • Handling reservations, addressing inquiries, and fulfilling guest requests with a genuine desire to assist.
  • Ensuring accurate and organized cash transactions while maintaining a tidy front desk area.
  • Collaborating closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to uphold guest satisfaction.
  • Resolving guest concerns promptly and efficiently, ensuring an uninterrupted and enjoyable stay.
  • Playing a pivotal role in maintaining a positive online reputation through exceptional guest interactions.

  
  

  What We're Looking For:

  We're in search of an individual who exudes enthusiasm, warmth, and an authentic passion for hospitality. Here's what we hope to find in you:

  • Exceptional communication skills and a welcoming demeanour.
  • A proactive problem-solving approach and a strong desire to assist guests.
  • A detail-oriented and organized work style.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).

  Qualifications:

  To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in customer service (bonus points for hospitality experience).
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; familiarity with other languages is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of the MEWS programme highly valued.

  As suas principais responsabilidades

  • Preparar as áreas de trabalho para o serviço e reabastecer o bar

  • Anotar pedidos

  • Servir pequenos-almoços e jantares

  • Efetuar cobranças através do TPV

  • Cumprir as normas de HACCP

  
  

  O perfil que procuramos

  • Experiência mínima de 1 ano em funções semelhantes

  • Noções básicas de atendimento ao cliente, preparação de bebidas e serviço de mesa

  • Nível intermédio de inglês

  • Capacidade de trabalhar em equipa, mantendo boa comunicação e colaboração

  • Compromisso e responsabilidade no desempenho das funções

  • Atitude amigável, proativa e orientada para o cliente

  • Boa gestão da pressão em períodos de maior movimento

  
  

  Procuramos uma pessoa para um contrato a tempo inteiro, com uma jornada de 40 horas semanais. Turnos rotativos de segunda a domingo, respeitando os dias de folga estabelecidos pelo acordo coletivo.
